My pockets are full of rocks and minerals – small traces of moments lived and places experienced. If memory shapes a person layer by layer through the act of remembering, then I build myself from moments: encounters and memories, arrivals and departures. Each stone carries something meaningful within it, even if it cannot be fully put into words.
Stones help me remember and keep a sense of direction. They are like compasses and lighthouses, keeping me connected to the ground even when the path grows unclear or my strength begins to fade. By collecting, sorting, and laying them out, I piece together a map of my memories and experiences – a way to understand where I have been and where it feels right to go next.
